The Fiscal Lab on Capitol Hill is seeking a Project Manager to support the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer in operational and administrative projects and tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all research papers and scores move efficiently through the publication process.
  • Track and report regularly on the Lab’s progress for different audiences including donors.
  • Ensure all project materials, deliverables, and related documentation are properly organized, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Provide project management for the monthly meeting of the Center for Strategic Tax Reform (CSTR).
  • Maintain the Fiscal Lab’s website and social media accounts (X, Substack, and LinkedIn).
  • Provide research to Fiscal Lab scholars as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in operations or research in a public policy organization, a government agency, or similar setting.
  • Strong attention-to-detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across different platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, to handle several projects or tasks at once, and to work under short timelines.
  • A strong appreciation for the Fiscal Lab’s mission.
  • Knowledge of macroeconomics and the US budget process is a plus.

The Fiscal Lab is a new, dynamic organization dedicated to providing analytical support to good ideas that improve the United States’ fiscal position. Currently, Fiscal Lab staff work remotely, but we expect to be operating out of an office in Washington, DC in early 2026.
