The Fiscal Lab on Capitol Hill provides non-partisan estimates of the budgetary and economic effects of proposed legislation aimed at mitigating the United States’ fiscal crisis. Fiscal scores refer to 10-year cost and revenue estimates. Fiscal notes do not provide such estimates, but do provide more qualitative analysis of what bills would do.
The Lab works confidentially with Members of Congress and their staffs and has already scored more than 100 bills, including many provisions of the “Reconciliation 2.0” announced in early 2026.
When Members choose to make these analyses public, we will publish them here.
