In light of credit downgrades, rising deficits, and the limited capacity of CBO and JCT, the Lab will give lawmakers alternative scores, dynamic economic modeling, and AI-driven tools to better evaluate policy proposals and design pro-growth reforms. Distinct from traditional think tanks, it will work directly with Members and staff, focusing on both immediate fiscal pressures and long-term sustainability.
